Cashier Job – Emporia, KS

Job Summary

At Sports Connection, cashiers are expected to greet customers, help answer any questions they may have, and take down orders as needed. Our Sales staff are the first people customers see coming into the store and their experience of customer service starts with you so we expect someone that has good customer service.  Your job will include but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers to Sports Connection
• Be able to answer questions dealing with sporting goods and our in stock gear
• Be able to fill out an order sheet and take down an order with clear and legible handwriting
• Know the products we offer and or carry in our store so you are knowledgeable when a customer comes in.
• Be dependable and on time to work when scheduled
• Be able to operate a cash register and all point-of-sale equipment and process all types of transactions, including cash, credit card, and checks.
• Keep the store clean and tidy by vacuuming, dusting, and organizing clothing racks.
• Be able to close and open a day with the cash register by yourself.
• Help with any task that is asked of you.
• Pricing and Inventorying of items in the store
• Able to press down a heat machine to put iron on numbers on garments.
• Able to visually see how to line up garments and logos.
