Emporia Main Street, Inc. is a non-profit 501c(6) organization. We are part of the National Main Street Program, which is designed to bring economic revitalization to communities with an emphasis on restoration and preservation of core downtown business districts.
The National Main Street movement grew out of a recognition that a community is only as strong as its core. The Main Street program offers a road-map for locally-owned, locally-driven prosperity, through a proven 4-point approach.
Emporia Main Street is committed to bringing economic vitality not only to downtown Emporia, but the entire Emporia community and surrounding area.
What does Emporia Main Street do?
A lot! We work hard to make Emporia a great place to live and do business. We work with entrepreneurs to launch businesses, help existing businesses grow and create jobs, host or support over 35 community events each year, reinvest in downtown Emporia, promote our members and shopping locally, provide low-interest business loans, work to beautify and preserve Emporia's downtown historic district, and much more.
Investors, Donors, Committee Members & Volunteers
Emporia Main Street could not exist without the support of our investors, donors, committee members and volunteers. We work to ensure that every dollar and every hour of volunteer time given to Emporia Main Street generates a measurable return on investment for our members and for our community.
