Emporia Main Street Nominated for Best main Street in the Nation-Cast YOUR Vote Today!

A panel of industry experts and editors at USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards has chosen Emporia, KS as a nominee for Best Main Street. The intention of this award is to celebrate towns with great shops and restaurants along their town’s main street and a strong sense of hometown pride.

Emporia Main Street is no stranger to the contest. In 2016, the organization was nominated, and won claiming the title of Readers’ Choice Best Main Street in the USA.

Emporia Main Street Executive Director Casey Woods stated: “The volunteers, staff, donors, and members of Emporia Main Street work hard to create a better community and region. We appreciate the fact that a national panel of experts recognized the efforts of our local citizens. The 10Best Readers’ Choice Award contest launches new categories every other Monday at noon, revealing each category’s 20 nominees. After 4 weeks of voting, the contest closes on the 28th day at noon. On the Friday after voting ends, winners are revealed. Readers are encouraged to vote daily starting March 11 going until April 8th at 11:59 pm.
