ERC Wellness Coordinator Job – Emporia, KS

We are looking for an outgoing and energetic person to work directly with our Wellness Center Supervisor and staff! Prefer candidates going into Health and Wellness and actively working on a degree in applicable field. Must be customer service minded, a good communicator and willing to work as a team.

• Part-time*
• Primarily Monday-Friday. Some weekend shifts may be assigned.
• Approx. 20 – 30 hrs./wk.*
• Starting wage: $13.00/hr.*
*This position has the potential to become a full-time salaried position with benefits in the future.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer candidates going into Health and Wellness actively working on a degree in an applicable field. General knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office. Problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate problems and work to prevent/solve issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work and communicate with all generations of ERC patrons and provide superior customer service. Able to work independently and in a team. CPR/AED/First Aid certified or willing to get certified. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Duties: Enforce policies and procedures in place for the Wellness Center. Assist patrons and staff members when needed. Perform minor maintenance duties as well as clean-up duties in and around the facility. Attend a variety of professional meetings and trainings related to fitness/wellness operations. Collaborate with ERC staff to implement new programs and ideas. Assume duties as a Fitness Class Instructor as needed. Other duties as assigned.
