Upcoming Event Street/Lot Closures. Emporia has A LOT of activities coming up in the next few weeks; here are the closures you need to know about.

Event season is in full swing, and that means street and parking lot closures will occur for certain activities during certain times of the day. Please look through the following list of closures for upcoming locations and times of event activities. Street and Parking Lot Closure Dates
April 30th– Dynamic Discs Open Block Party and Food Truck Festival Location- 800 and 900 Blocks of Commercial Street & West side of 9th Ave. Contact Group- Emporia Main Street Time- 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. street closed (event 5pm – 10pm)


May 7-8- La Grind Stage Race Location- 500 Block of Commercial Street. Contact Group- High Gear Cyclery Time- 7:00 a.m. Saturday to 5:00 p.m. Sunday


May 7th– Cinco de Mayo Location- 900 Block of Commercial Street & West side of 9th Ave. Contact Group- Hispanics of Today and Tomorrow Time- 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (event runs 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)


May 21st– Flatland Cruisers Car Show Location- 800-1100 Blocks of Commercial Street & side streets to alleys. Contact Group- Emporia Flatland Cruisers Time- 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


June 2nd and 3rd– All Things Gravel Expo Location- Parking lots in the 600 & 700 Blocks between Commercial Street and Mechanic Street, and both 7th and 8th Avenue between Commercial Street and Mechanic Street. Contact Group- Unbound Gravel/Lifetime (either Ben Sachs or Kristi Mohn)Time- All day


June 4th– Unbound Gravel Finish Line Party Location- 600-900 Blocks of Commercial Street and Commercial Street to the alley on 7th, 8th, and 9th on either side of Commercial. Contact Group- Emporia Main Street Time- All day.
