Emporia, KS – Emporia, KS – Downtown Emporia is about to welcome a new and exciting shopping destination! Midwest Mama Co., located at 1107 Commercial Street. Ste. B, is officially opening its doors on Saturday, March 22, with a Grand Opening event from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:00 AM.

To celebrate, attendees can enjoy raffles for door prizes, custom magnets for sale by Made by Mandy, and complimentary cookies, water, and coffee.

Midwest Mama Co. offers a unique shopping experience, featuring farm, ranch, Midwest, and Kansas-inspired products, including greeting cards, apparel, children’s books and toys, jewelry, soaps and candles, locally made goods, and even homemade breads and cinnamon rolls from a local Amish family in Hartford, KS. The store will also offer custom orders to accommodate special requests.

Meet the Owner: Kinsey Jones

Owner Kinsey Jones, a Kansas native, has deep roots in agriculture and entrepreneurship. Born and raised in Reading, KS, Kinsey pursued various career paths before returning to her true passion—farming and small business. Her journey led her to create the popular Mini Cowgirl brand, which gained over a million followers on social media. As demand for her farm-inspired merchandise grew, Kinsey knew she needed to expand beyond online sales, ultimately leading to the creation of Midwest Mama Co.

“I wanted my business to reflect my life as a whole—my cows, my farm, my talents, and my presence,” says Jones. “Downtown Emporia was always my dream location, and I couldn’t be more excited to finally open my storefront here.”

After months of searching for the perfect space, Kinsey found the ideal location at 1107B Commercial St., marking a new chapter in her business journey.

“Seeing new businesses open in our community is always inspiring,” said Jessica Buchholz, Community Development Coordinator for Emporia Main Street. “We are looking forward to having Kinsey and Midwest Mama Co., as part of the Emporia Main Street family. Her space is very inviting to community members and visitors alike.”

Midwest Mama Co. promises to bring something for everyone, celebrating the heart of rural Kansas with high-quality, locally inspired products. The community is invited to join the grand opening and support this exciting new addition to Emporia’s downtown scene.
