Hear Ye, Hear Ye - All are welcome to join us for a day of merriment in downtown Emporia! Kings & Queens, Prince & Princesses, Fairies, Trolls, Enchanted Creatures, Mythical Heroes, and Lords & Ladies.

10 am to 11 am: Gather at the Town Square (901 Commercial Street) to meet the King and Queen, make your own wand with the Emporia Arts Council and take part in general merriment. Help us Build a Fairy Village, details below! (Free)

11 am: Pixie Promenade to the Ye Old Main Street (727 Commercial Street). All in costume are welcome to participate. Pictures can be submitted to [email protected] for the costume contest, details below (Free).

11:15 am to 2pm:  For all of those brave enough to journey on an Epic quest. An adventure for those true of heart! Dragons, trolls, towers and more! Receive your scroll of travel! (Free). Quest Directions must be picked up by 12:30 pm.

11am - 2pm: Take part in the Quest and visit local merchants who have special activities and promotions during the event!

Sacred Leaf (10 East 12th Ave): Charm bracelet station for the kids. Come take a picture at the fairy cottage and take advantage of sales for the day.

Do we need to dress up?

No, but costumes are encouraged!
What type of costumes: Think renaissance fair. Kings/Queens, Fairies, Trolls, Dragons, Lords/Ladies, Princes & Princes.
How do we enter the costume contest? 
Please snap a picture AT THE EVENT and email it to [email protected] - all photos must be submitted by 5pm on Sunday, October 13th. Photos that are not at the event will not be entered into the contest. We will place all photos on the Emporia Main Street Facebook page for online voting. 1st place = $50 in Emporia Main Street Gift Certificates, 2nd place = $30 in Emporia Main Street Gift Certificates, and 3rd place = $20 in Emporia Main Street Gift Certificates.
Tell me more about the Fairy Village.
Heck yes! We would love to create a fairy village at the town square. To participate, create your own fairy house (see pics for inspo), bring it to the Town Square Gathering at 10am at 901 Commercial, register at the Emporia Main Street table, and place it in the village. All houses will get a number and there will be a QR code to scan and vote for your favorite. Voting will start at 10:30am and take place until 2pm! 1st place = $50 in Emporia Main Street Gift Certificates, 2nd place = $30 in Emporia Main Street Gift Certificates, and 3rd place = $20 in Emporia Main Street Gift Certificates. Four legged friends are welcome to participate (costumes encouraged) but must be kept on a leash at all times!
