"How does the City CCA thing work for St. Pats?"

The upcoming St. Patrick's Day activities WILL NOT use the City of Emporia Common Consumption Area. The St. Pats events will use the Emporia Main Street CCA between the hours of noon and midnight on March 15th. During the noon to Midnight time frame, individuals will be able to carry drinks in branded cups from alcohol establishments that have both filled out the required State paperwork and worked through Emporia Main Street, throughout the designated Common Consumption Area.

Alcohol in non-approved cups or other vessels (cans, bottles, etc.) are a violation and will result in potential legal issues for the carrier. During the noon to midnight time frame, if you want to grab a beer at Bourbon Cowboy and walk down to Town Royal, you can, if you are using the branded Bourbon Cowboy cup. If you wanted to grab a beer at the Axe Shedd and walk over to Champions Landing (even in an approved cup) that would be a violation, because Champions Landing is outside the CCA (but they are still a great stop for St. Pats activities). If you went to a local liquor store and purchased a six pack of your favorite cans of beer and decided to crack one open on Commercial Street, that's also a violation. The CCA allows you to purchase inside an alcohol establishment participating in the CCA, and use their branded cups to carry outside in the designated area.

Outside the CCA, but still participating in the pub crawl are:

Trolley House (we suggest the giant pretzels on a pub crawl, and they have some creative cocktails for folks wanting to switch up beverages)

Charlies Place (as warmer weather and baseball season approach, their patio is a great place to be. Quick service from a great staff.)

Champions Landing (a great place to land for food, drinks, and watching discs whirl by in this wind. Take advantage of their walking path if you need a break.).

Inside the CCA (you can carry out with a branded cup)

Town Royal (the epicenter for all St. Pats activities and a great place to support the work of the St. Patrick's Day Committee).

Bourbon Cowboy (the addition of new games and some later night activities make this a multi-stop option).

Radius (how do you not stop at THE Emporia brewery for St. Pats? Plus, their appetizers alone are sustenance for crawlers).

The Axe Shedd (Stop for some throwing sport, stay because THEY NOW HAVE BONES (it's an Emporia nostalgia thing) to go along with pizza and calzone options).

627 Bar and Grill (Irish food specials, drinks, an upper story full of activities, and great window seats to "People Watch" make this a must stop).

Mulready's (It's an Irish Pub, on St. Patrick's Day... I don't know that we need to say more than that, but the vibe in the beer garden and pub proper are awesome all day long).

Lanyards should be available at all participating location. But, supplies are limited, so make sure you grab yours before they are gone!
