NOTICE: This event has been postponed to Saturday, September 12th, 2020 and has moved locations to the open lot at 923 Commercial Street. This is also on the same day as the Great American Market.

The DK Kids Zone is sponsored by our friends at :

Nex-tech wireless

We are looking for vendors and organizations to participate with kid themed booths or activities. To register for a booth space, call the Emporia Main Street office at 620-340-6430, or complete the form below and submit your payment.

Booth spaces in the Kid Zone are 12 x 12 feet and are $50 for EMS Members and $100 for Non-Members. If you are not currently paying membership dues to Emporia Main Street, select the non member price.  All booth spaces are 12 x 12, but prices vary by block. If you need more than 12 x 12 feet please purchase multiple spaces.

The DK Kids Zone will be staged in the open lot at 923 Commercial - it will not be within the beer garden.  Kids Zone vendors must be “kid related” or provide a kid related activity. No food trucks unless you serve products catered to children (snow cones, ice cream, popcorn). Each vendor is responsible for all their own display tables, racks, etc.

The only vehicles allowed on the street once the block party begins are food trucks. If you have a trailer attached to a vehicle, the vehicle must be parked off of Commercial Street

Set up can begin at 4:30 am and must be completed by 6:30 am. The finish line celebration begins at 11 am.  This Kids Zone has a unique opportunity because it is essentially part of both the Dirty Kanza Finish Line Celebration and the Great American Market that runs through the 900 block.

The kids zone ends at 9 pm if you are a vendor within the kids zone, you must close for business at this time. Vendors are not able to leave until the street is officially opened up by event staff.

Any Vendors with Jump/Bouncy Houses must provide a liability waiver and list Emporia Main Street and the City of Emporia as additional insured.

All items at your booth must be family friendly- no weapons or products that would be deemed culturally insensitive. Vendors may not sell any type of alcohol (there is one designated alcohol vendor for the event).

We DO ALLOW multiple Direct Sales vendors. No refunds on cancellations. NO loud generators - if your generator makes excessive noise or releases heavy fumes, you will be asked to leave the event.

-Vendors will receive a sales tax packet at the event.

-Wifi will be available to purchase at the event.
